13-06-2018 Canon A1 - Kodak Ektar 100

I've been viewing tons of YT videos lately on analog photography (seriously, go check Negative Feedback, it's so good!). And since everyone was raving about Portra 400 and Ektar 100, I thought I would give it a try.

So I picked up 2 rolls of Ektar 100 and shot one full roll of film over the weekend. I wanted to make sure that the film I'm bringing along to my new roadtrip would do fine and wel... what a massive, massive difference in quality compared to the "cheap" C200.

The grain is just... gone. Not that surprising for 100ASA film, but still. Hardly any noise to see and even in photos that I took in a super dark underground party, hardly had any grain in them. I actually added some in post to give the photo some more character. But besided the grain, I really-really like the colors. It's not super poppy, but it also has some sort of de-saturated feel around them. I can't lay a finger on it, but truly love it!

Last but not least I tried to shoot some photos in areas I'm familier with, for some reason it's always harder to shoot something original in places where you lived. Also tried some over- and under exposing shots, which gave a nice faded look to them.
